A component used in heating systems, particularly in boilers or furnaces manufactured by Grant or a similar brand.Designed to provide reliable and efficient ignition for the burner in these systems. They are known for their durability and ability to withstand high temperatures. These ignition elements use ceramic materials because ceramics have excellent heat resistance properties. They generate a spark or heat to ignite the fuel, ensuring the proper functioning of the heating system. Essential for initiating the combustion process and ensuring safe and efficient operation of the heating equipment.

The hot surface igniters are usually offered as a ready-to-install solution that is easy to assemble. The ceramic heater is interchangeably inserted in a temperature-resistant ceramic base and is fixed by clamping springs in the base and electrically contacted.
Ceramic igniter high-temperature-resistant socket
The “installation set” consists of the hot surface igniter, which is interchangeably installed in a high-temperature-resistant socket (contact via clamping springs). The wiring with plug is made according to customer requirements. In addition, we supply a number of designs as a “complete system” in which metal components such as metal pipes, metal nozzles and fastening systems are adapted to the customer-specific installation situation.
• Hot surface igniters (ignition of gas, oil, biomass, pellets)
• Hot air generation
• Tool heating
• Melting/welding/soldering/hot gas soldering
• Heaters for chemical analysis and laboratory equipment (e.g. mini-furnaces, reactors)
• Customer-specific heating solutionsac
How to replace ceramic heating element.
To remove the element from the tube, grasp the black grommet and pull out of the tube. Do NOT pull on the element power cable.Unscrew and remove the single screw securing the ignition element tube and pull it out of the burner. Check the condition and thoroughly clean the inside of the tube. Replace the tube in the burner and secure with the screw.Check that the ceramic element is correctly fitted into the ceramic socket. Replace the ignition element in the tube, ensuring that the element is correctly positioned inside the tube, i.e. with a distance of 127mm between the grommet flange and the ceramic socket. Refer to Figure below.
